About Girls Empowerment Group Mentoring Program
Girls Empowerment Group Mentoring Program is an effective STEAM intervention mentoring program involving the collaborative efforts and talents of inner city Junior High and High School girls, faculty, administrative staff, and local business leaders coming together to address and meet their needs. The primary objective is to help at-risk youth build their self-esteem, self-confidences, and an internal sense of responsibility.

The core principles of Girls Empowerment Group Mentoring Program are to enable disadvantaged non-traditional girls interested in studying Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to express their ideology and knowledge of STEAM subjects with local underrepresented junior high and high school students. We will offer engaging, hands-on STEAM learning that builds real-life skills and proficiencies that will prepare them for the 21st century career landscape.

The core values of Girls Empowerment Group Mentoring Program are Relevance, Critical Thinking Skills, Equality, Commitment, and Multiculturalism working to ensure that disadvantaged girls have access to quality, flexible, brain-compatible skills necessary to increase student engagement with STEAM subjects and to change these future minds for a successful life.
